Title: 8-core machine ready for benchmark
Post by: staubesv on July 14, 2008, 02:37:02 PM
We managed to get A2 running on our 8-core machine. If you are interested, I can make a benchmark run.

It may be greatly interesting.
Also will be nice to see comparative benchmark results in some table, maybe in wiki.

Just wanted to do a benchmark... unfortunately, the download page is not reachable  :'(
Could somebody fix this?

The download page on http://www.computational.ch/MatrixLibrary.html is up again.
Many interface changes with the evolving A2 System are already incorporated, but not all (notably: AosIO.Mod is not yet replaced ).

Hmm... the results don't look too promising (see http://www.ocp.inf.ethz.ch/wiki/MatrixProject/Front)... ideas?

As far as I know, the BlockLU has data dependencies. Felix reported to me, that he was working on that a week ago.

After enabling the 2048 blocksize benchmark, the result seens more consistent again.

Fastest: Block LU agents, 128 : approx. 9 GFlops
