As you may have noticed, I'm doing some experiments with window navigation elements (WMNavigate.Mod, WMNavigator.Mod). For one of the experiments, I need some window icons.
Unfortunately, I've found that I'm a very bad icon designer ...
Is somebody willing to contribute some icons?
Please note that...
- contributed icons are supposed to be free for everybody (no copyrights / no violation of copyrights of others)
- I don't have any idea what to do if different people contribute icons for the same application
- If you want to contribute, just post in this thread
Background: For me personally, I like the idea of a navigation element that shows all open applications ("user windows") and is visible all the time. But being visible all the time occupies screen space, so that this kind of navigation element should be very compact. Instead of doing it the "taskbar" way, I would prefer to represent windows with icons only rather than text (window title). Finally, "Programmer's Editing Tool" needs a lot of horizontal space and doesn't say more than a 16x16 pixel icon representing the window.
Icon format: I have not really thought much about the format & size of icons. For the ones I made I used 64x64 pixels and stored them in the PNG format. Icons support transparency.
