I recently read in the german Linux Magazin that there is a project for
creating free open source drivers for nVidia graphic cards. A quick look
at the home page of the group at http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/
revealed quite an intersting amount of documentation, esp. the intro
course at http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/IntroductoryCourse
seems interesting for starting ...
