I downloaded A2 onto a CD-ROM. My Dell Inspiron 530 desktop boots up from the CD; the proper screen comes up and the mouse works, but the keyboard is completely inert. Even the numlock light on the keyboard is dark, even though Ubuntu boots up from the hard drive with it lighted. All my hardware is stock from Dell.

The A2 windows have a clean look, and I can start some applications with the mouse, though of course I can't do much.

A while back I booted my Dell with native Oberon, and the mouse worked fine.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem? I am completely stuck.

Is it a PS/2 or USB keyboard? Best would be to test both types of keyboard if the hardware is available.
