Hi,

After fighting with ETH Oberon a lot, I got Oberon System V4 for Windows from Linz site.
But how to use it now?
WinAOS was bit OK to use, but how to navigate in Oberon System V4 ?

Is there any user manual anywhere?

Sincerely,
Srinivas Nayak

AFAIK System 3 & 4 don't differ much, you should read Tutorial.Text to learn. WinAOS is more like todays OSes, while Oberon System has different design.

Is there any user manual anywhere?
In addition to the documentation provided with the system there are good books on the subject:

http://www.oberon.ethz.ch/bibliography/publications

e.g.

M. Reiser
The Oberon System; User Guide and Programmer's Manual
Addison-Wesley, 1992, ISBN 0-201-54422-9
User manual for the programming environment and reference for the standard module library.

and a later one spcifically for System 3:

A. Fischer and H. Marais
The Oberon Companion: A Guide to Using and Programming Oberon System 3
vdf Hochschulverlag AG an der ETH Z├╝rich, 1998, ISBN 3-7281-2493-1

Amazon has some used copies of the Reiser book available and the last time I looked the latter was available direct from the publisher.
