I can only run winaos using wine, so I don't wish to try to build a new release from the repository. Yet I should have one to test with my new code, and to direct others to, should anyone want to run my code on windows. It

If it's just for testing code, why not use UnixAOS instead?

Using UnixAos, how can I test whether the code compiles and runs on WinAos? I am trying to start a project here and wish to get people to download and run it.

Hi Soren,

why don't you use the version directly checked out from Subversion.
As I remember there is an absolutely actual one in the repository present.

at least there is one at https://www.ocp.inf.ethz.ch/svn/aos/trunk/WinAos/

I cannot check the svn log from this machine, I don't have a client installed.

regards

Ok, now I'm at the right PC.

I did not install WinAOS, I just got an SVN client running under Windows and checked out the complete AOS tree from the repository.

The current version of Aos.EXE ist at revision 3962 and it was commited by Felix on the 23-Feb-2011 so it looks quite current.

I was able to start it with Wine, after having booted TinyCore linux from an USB stick, but couldn't really use it since I could not see the mouse pointer and the main menu was on the border of the physical screen (I had to kill the task) ...
